Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am suffering from Depression since last couple of years. I am taking 4 medicines at night. Namely- Mirtaz 75 mg, Zapiz-0.25 mg, Skizoril 40 mg and clonil 25 mg
I have a doubt. I want to know that a long consumption of these medicines my put me into diabetes. I want to know, is it true?
Mirtazepine 7.5 mg, Clonazeoam .25, Skizoril and Clomipramine. Except Skizoril all are anti depressant drugs. Probably Skizoril has been added to improve psychotic symptoms.
Though there is risk of metabolic side effects with these drugs but it is not very high. At these doses most of individuals don't develop diabetes or other metabolic side effects. There is no need to worry.
Thanks
