What Is The Treatment For Double Heart Rhythm During Pregnancy?

hi i am family health doctor i work in sector i have one patient 30 years old pregnant G6P5@37 week present with shortness of breath chest clear heart normal double rythem she came befor at 33 weeks with the same presentation so can i give hibor as prophlaxis

Hi,

Yes you can give her Hibor .Low molecular weight heparins can be used if you are suspecting her of thromboembolism.But also required would be for her to get thoroughly evaluated as shortness of breadth in a multiparous women at term could be pulmonary embolism,Cardiomyopathy or Myocardial infarction.It would be best to get her into a fully equipped hospital and evaluated with Echocardiography ,ECG,and cardiac opinion.
LMW heparin can be started meanwhile.
But labour and delivery will need to be timed and dose omitted on the day of delivery.She will also require post delivery low molecular weight heparin.
