I have just had an ultrasound transabdonminal and transvaginal, the uterus is enlarged anteverted 12.1 cm in length there is a 1.3cm anterior intramural fibroid present, normal endometrial thickness 7.9mm. The right ovary is bulky 26.8cc no focal abnormatlity visulaized in the right ovary.Left ovary is 23.6cc contains 2 cysts 2.6cm and 2.2cm with no vasculatrity identified in either cycst. no free fluid is present in the pelvis. what will have to be done to fix all of this. I had a endimertial biopsy and i don't see the doctor till Dec 10 Can you tell me what they will do
I think that the treatment for enlarged uterus depends upon the symptoms and your age so if there is no symptoms and your endometrium biopsy is normal then I think that there is nothing much to worry about this condition, but if you have heavy bleeding or stomach cramps then myomectomy or hysterectomy may be required, medical management may be tried first.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
