Hello,

You seem to be having premature ejaculation rather than erectile dysfunction. You need not use Viagra for this. Premature ejaculation is very common in newly married men, as they are new to the sexual activity and also need time to adjust with their partner.

Your partner and you would need more time in understanding each other in your sexual life. Please take it slow, and even if you discharge early sometimes, it is still fine. Continue to have good foreplay which would build up the sexual confidence or remove the performance anxiety in both of you.

Gradually, you would be able to penetrate the vagina, and your wife and you would both feel comfortable. It will take time, so please do not hurry. Talk to each other about your thoughts about your sexual life and activity. Get comfortable with each other. Your sexual life will get better soon. I would not suggest any medications at this point of time for both of you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
