Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You have extreme depression and are taking Sertraline 150, Xanax (Alprazolam) 1 mg and Vyvanse (Amphetamines) 70 mg. Even with this dose your symptoms are persisting and you cant function normally and even cant move out to attend AA (alcohol anonymous). You are a chronic alcoholic.

First advise I would like to give you is to stop using alcohol. Alcohol though appears to cause subjective well being but in long term it tend to worsen the symptoms of depression and cause significant impairment in functioning. Once you stop alcohol your activity level would increase and you will start to attend AA meetings. For depression visit your psychiatrist again. As sertraline is not causing improvement in such case other drugs as Lithium, Lamotrigine, Bupropion can be added to therapy to augment the actions of Sertraline. This will cause increased efficacy of drugs and you will function better. Please visit a psychiatrist for help.

Thanks, Take care
