Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had intermittent low grade fever and weakness for 6 weeks now, in the1st 2 weeks I had a bad bladder infection and then I improved and then got crook again with my urine pathology showing so much sugar in my urine, my diabetes out of control, however in this 6 weeks the symptoms have been identical and I have my diabetes under control but still am crook, thankyou
The low grade fever that you've is because of 1. recuurent infection in your urinary tract 2.Any other pathology like in lungs wich is masked because of apparent Renal pathology. I'd recommend you to get a urine culture sensitivity done along with sonography to check for stones in your kidneys/ureter, which causes recurrent infection. Apart from this also get CBC and chest X ray chest done to rule out other infection possibilities. Meanwhile its important that you drink plenty of water (other oral fluids if they're sugar free can also be taken). You can also take urine alkaliser and can get back to us with your reports so that we could further assist you.WARNNIG keep your sugar under strict control Can take tab acetaminophen SOS when febrile Hope this was helpful.
