What Is The Treatment For Hyperactivity And Anxiety?
hi, my 10 year old daughter has epicanthic folds and I am wondering if I should get genetic testing (We are Caucasian). she had marked developmental delays up until the age of about 4 (mainly speech). we had her tested for autism and it was determined that she was not on the spectrum. at the age of four her speech and development suddenly improved greatly and today she is a straight A student and is in the gifted program at school. we still, however, have some areas of concern mainly about her behavior....she is still very hyperactive and has problems with anxiety. I am concerned that we may have missed something early on that may effect her ongoing growth and development. Do you recommend testing? I know that epicanthal folds may be indicative of many scary syndromes and I just want to make sure that we have all of our bases covered. thank you so much. I
Hi, thanks for asking. I can understand your concerns. In my opinion you should get a genetic testing done. She has epicanthic folds and also because she had developmental delays is an indication for getting her genetic testing done. For her anxiety and hyperactivity you may consult your prescribing doctor and put her on medications for the same. I hope I have helped you. Thank you.
