I have gone through your query regarding persisting infection in your right ear canal.
After co-relating the facts of your clinical history it appears as you may be having any of these which are responsible for persisting infection in ear canal-
In cases of otitis externa it is necessary to clean the ear canal prior to instilling ear drop to get the desired effect. sometimes self cleaning of ear does not cleans well so it will be better to consult ENT doctor for ear cleaning and also to rule out perforation in the ear drum. Because if ear canal infection is associated with ear drum perforation than specialist care becomes necessary.
