What Is The Treatment For Inflammation In Region Of Mastoid In Ears After Loss Of Hearing?
In 2009 I put ear plugs in which caused immediate sharp pain in the right ear. After pulling it out. "Quickly" I lost the hearing in that ear. A MRI was performed showing an inflamatory region in the right mastoid. The MRI was repeated in 2012 showing the same "pool" of fluid in that area. The area has grown tight with pressure and the pressure is now in the lower jaw. What to do?

I have gone through your query regarding hearing loss after sudden removal of ear plug followed by inflammation in mastoid.
Sudden removal of ear plug may lead to rupture of ear drum responsible for hearing loss and collection of blood in middle ear which is shown in MRI as fluid level. This later on got infected and result in mastoiditis.
