What Is The Treatment For Knot In Vein Due To Intravenous Injections?
I've used meth in the last month intravenous. And I have a knot in the vein that runs up the inside of my arm. The knot is at my elbow, and it's not from a missed shot. I laid down and got up a few hours later and I had this knot. It's really hard and defiantly in the vein. What should I do?
It is mos likely a thrombus or a blood clot in the vein which is causing the vein to get blocked. You should apply Thrombophob or Heparin ointment on it and take some compression therapy like a crepe bandage. It will get resolved over a few weeks but the knotty feeling can stay for a few months but no serious consequences out of it. You can also take pain killers like Paracetamol twice a day for 3 to 5 days for decreasing the swelling and easing the pain. Take care
