My 16 yr old neice has a nosebleed after every bowel movement. She has had problems with nosebleeds since she was a toddler. What do you recommend us to do for this teenager who is now not wanting to use the bathroom bexause she doesn't want to have a nosebleed?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent pain in abdomen . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like foreign object stuck in the nose , chemical irritants , allergic reaction , injury to the nose , repeated sneezing , picking the nose , cold air or upper respiratory infection . I would suggest you to use a humidifier in your house , avoid picking your nose , use antihistamines and apply cold compresses to nose . Sometimes nosebleed occur when we strenuous exercise . If condition doesn't get well then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order complete blood count , nasal endoscopy , partial thromboplastin time , CT scan of the nose , X-ray of the face and nose . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin , anti inflammatory . Doctor can recommend surgery in case of nasal polyp .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
