What Is The Treatment For Ovarian Cyst?

I had a internal pelvic ultra sound while in the hospital for diverticulitis and was told to go to my ob/gyn because I have a ovarian cyst.... I am a 65 years of age and I have no symptoms of pain related to this diagnosis. I was told that it was 4-5 centimeters in size. What are the usual treatments for this?

hi, if the cyst is proved to be benign, you need no further treatment. you may require aspiration of the cyst to rule out any malignancy, even though it is least likely. hope this helped.
