I have been having pain in my tailbone. I do not remember injuring it. Xrays show no fracture. It was diagnosed as tendinitis. I take Mobic and Ultram for the pain. I am unable to sit for very long. Could there be another diagnosis or treatment?
This is a pretty common set of symptoms. There can be practically anything in the area and MRI's are done to evaluate if there is a growth (blood blisters common these are called hemangiomas) generally of normal tissue. This can be removed. There can be irritation or fracture of the area this can be addressed. Or nothing is seen. Medicines that damp down nerves like anti-epileptic medications are most commonly used.
