What Is The Treatment For Painful Breast Due To Dilated Duct With Internal Debris?

I am about to go in for a galactography. I had a ultrasound and the results were I have a dilated duct with internal debris which does not definitely demonstrate internal flow. There is a questionable eccentric filling defect which appears mildly hyperechoic in relation to the internal debris. I have never been able to breast feed my kids from that breast and my nipple on that side is smaller than on the other side. I just noticed this 3 months ago because my breast was becoming very painful. In my situation what can be done about this?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The dilated ducts with internal debris can cause an infection in the ducts causing a pain and discomfort in the breast. Further investigations are needed to find out the type of debris.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
