What Is The Treatment For Purple Color Bumps On The Thighs?

Hi, I have a few purple bumps on my upper-inner thigh. Two or three of them don't hurt and aren't higher than the skin.. But one is bigger and very painful, it's also above skin. This isn't the first time this has happened, and the bumps go down and go away within a few days and in a couple weeks they come back. Can you tell me what this is?
