What Is The Treatment For Queezy Stomach And Dark Green Stools?
A week ago I was diagnosed in NJ with possible (diverticulitis) or losis which I used to have often but haven't had for over 7 years. I am back home in Florida and taking Levaquin and another antibiotic. I am having trouble eating due to queezy stomach (probably meds) but as soon as I eat in the morning and sometimes later in the day I have to go to the bathroom immediately with dark green bowel movement. I have been a little light headed and wonder if that is because most things I eat don't stay in my stomach but mostly concerned about the dark green loose bowel movement and not yet feeling 100%.
I am concerned about the medications causing diarrhea and discomfort. I am afraid that Levoquine is not the first line agent for the treatment of diverticulitis. What is the other antibiotic, is It Metronidazole? I would suggest getting stool tested for Clostridium Difficile Toxin if you are not using Metronidazole as the second agent. If you are having dizziness, multiple episodes of Diarrhea then please go to the Emergency Room.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
Regards, Dr. Sadaf Mustafa
