Hello and welcome to HCM,
Liver enzymes - SGOT and SGPT are elevated in cases of
injury to the hepatocytes or liver cells.
Hepatocyte injury can occur due to viral infections, drugs, toxins, autoimmunity etc.
The liver enzymes can be reduced after treating the disease of the liver.
A
biopsy of the liver needs to be done to know the disease affecting the liver.
After making a diagnosis, appropriate treatment can be given.
Vitamin D deficiency has to be corrected by taking vitamin D supplement which you are already taking.
After taking vitamin D supplements, a repeat vitamin D level should be taken to assess whether vitamin D levels are normal or not.
Appropriate management needs to be done for sensory neuropathy. Stay in touch with your
neurologist.
A high
triglyceride level has to be managed by lipid lowering drugs.
Thanks and take care
