What Is The Treatment For Sinus Infection And Sore Throat?
I recently had a sinus infection and was on a 5 day antibiotic. I am still having a lot of sinus drainage as well as acid reflux which is causing a sore throat and me to practically lose my voice. I have no fever, and mind you, my body goes to fevers very quickly if I have an infection so I am not sure what I should do. I quit smoking for four months only to give in and start after having a reaction to an anit-smoking drug. Could this extra drainage be cause cause I am smoking about 7 cigarettes a day or could like still be from my sinus infection from 3 weeks ago? The weather has been very unstable too, so I think that also could not be helping.
Yes , the drainage and the reflux are due to your smoking and you should stop it. Generally sinus infections need 7-10 days of antibiotics and a 5 day course will be inadequate. Please discuss this with your ent doctor, who will examine you and guide you further.
Thanks
