What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Tender Right Side Glands?
My right glands consistently become swollen with tenderness going down the right shoulder area. I have had my tonsils removed. My thyroid has been tested and has been confirmed to be enlarged but told nothing to worry..... yet this persists. I am often tired with this throat aches despite plenty of sleep. Any ideas?
Hello, Thank you for posting your query here. I understand your complaints. By referring to "glands" I believe you are referring to neck lymph nodes? Even after removal of tonsils you may suffer from pharyngitis that would cause enlarged lymph nodes. Basically infection and dust allergy has to be ruled out. Another aspect is gastro esophageal reflux (GERD) that causes throat pain which might mimic as infection related. If I were your doctor, I would take a throat swab to know if there is infection,do allergy tests and do an OP endoscopy to know the condition of lower throat and voice box. I suggest you visit an ENT specialist for these procedures. Vitamin C would help in preventing recurrent infections and allergic attacks.
