What Is The Treatment For The Bulky Uterus With Fibroid?

iam sandhya from hyderabad. iam 27. IAM HAVING BULKY UTERUS WITH UTERINE FIBROID.
UTERUS MEASURES 13.8X9.4X12.8CM.
EVIDENCE OF HETEROGENOUS LESION OF SIZE.
12.1X11.6X1.7CM NOTED IN POSTERIORWALL OF UTERUS COMPRESSING THE ENDOMETRIUM.
ENDOMETRIAL THICKNESS IS NORMAL. MEASURES : 8MM.

CAN U SUGGEST THE TREATMENT FOR MY PROBLEM???

HI Sandhya. With the findings in a case of your age my advise would depending upon many factors. You are just 27 years old. Are you married? If yes , have had children? Is your family requirement fulfilled( I mean children). Will you be willing to undergo hysterectomy that is removal of uterus at this age and have no periods at all? Now there are 2 modalities to deal with this. The first is removal of the whole uterus by open or laparoscopic method. With advancement in medical field you can even opt for only removal of the fibroid if you need a child. I am so sorry to hear about these fibroids. The size of this fibroid makes surgical removal the best option to pursue. You would need to talk to your OBGYN to consider getting it removed. Given your age, I am sure your uterus would be conserved unless you make a conscious and deliberate decision that it can be taken out also.
