General & Family Physician 's  Response
There is also tear and infection of the bursa. These cortisone injections just supress the inflammatory reaction, thus reducing the symptoms. This is not permanent solution. The tear should be sutured by operated and infection by antibiotic injections. Please take an appointment with orthopaedician who will guide you. Take care.
