Regarding your question, yes, with proper medications your semen parameters may improve. In order to cure the infection, I would recommend you to perform a semen culture. Semen cultures identify the type of bacteria and the antibiotic type that will best treat the infection. Antibiotic treatment is quite successful in eradicating urethral, prostate, and genital duct infections; however, it is important to treat them early to avoid permanent damage. You do not mention the usage of any substances such as alcohol, marijuana and other illegal drugs, anabolic steroids or any herbal remedies – especially those that affect hormone levels. I am emphasising this because they have been linked to low sperm count and/or abnormal sperm movement or shape. With such a presentation on my clinic I would advice to make some lifestyle modifications to improve your sperm quality and quantity. If you are using one of the below mentioned I would rather suggest to stop them; Stop smoking tobacco, marijuana use, drinking alcohol, using any anabolic steroids (including any testosterone supplements).
