What Is The Treatment For Thrush?

Hi I think I may have Trush, the symptoms add up, but I was told by my GP earlier in the year that I had genital herpes, although not tested, have since been told it might not have been, so would it be ok to use canesten to treat the Trush or could this make it worse?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
Canesten is one of the topical creams that is used for vaginal candidiasis, though there are other treatments.
YOur doctor was may sometime add additional therapy is needed. If you use the prolonged course and the response is inadequate then you should have a swab done to confirm that it is yeast infection and if there is any resistance to medication.

Discuss this with your doctor and then decide
Hope this helps
