What Is The Treatment For Vaginal Prolapse With Lower Back Pain?
Hi I have a mild virginal prolapse with lower back pain when standing all day my consultant says you do not usually have pain until the prolapse is measured as 4? I also have heavy periods however my consultant says a hysterectomy may not cure my prolapse pain what should I do
Hi, Thanks for your question. I think your consultant is likely to be right in that opinion as backache is not always related to prolapse & you may not have any benefit from operation. As long as the heavy periods are concerned there are many treatment options like medicines & minimally invasive surgeries. Hysterectomy is a major operation & has many complications which may make your life a mess. So, don't insist & take a second opinion from any other Gynecologist if you have doubts. Wish you good health.
