What Is The Treatment For Vomiting, Diarrhea, Sharp Abdominal Pain, Black Stool?
my husband is 6 4, 56 years old and for the last three days he s been having vomiting, diarrhea, sharp abdominal pain and then today a black stool and dry heaves. The symptoms subside for about 12 hours on and off then start again YYYY@YYYY
K I understood the problem vomiting and diarrhea with abd pain may be a simple acute gastroenteritis ...but black color stools is may be a upper GI or Lower GI bleed ,so to rule out that 1st he should go for an endoscopy to rule out any ulcers ,if this is normal than a colonoscope ,and should be treated accordingly ,if he is using any analgesics or nsaids kindly ask him to stop bcoz it may worsen. And about GE take a coarse of antibiotics like ciplox+tinadazole bid for 5 days with tht a pre biotics like tab bifilac hp bid and hydrate him properly like give him plenty of water ,coconut water any juice etc ....if this GE doesnt stop with the above medicines thn u can consider taking an intestinal antibiotic tab RIFIXAMIN 550 bid for 5 days ....hope this information and treatment wil help him ...thank u
