What Is The Treatment Of Flutter In Chest And Cough ?
Hi dr Samuel I keep getting a flutter in the middle of my chest Where my rib cage is , it starts in the morn then it goes but then comes back At night I generally feel fine , I also every now and then get a fleemy cough I m starting to get a little concerned
Hello As you mentioned that this fluttering is usually early in the morning and as temperature goes on increasing it stops and recurs in the night ( when temperature falls ). This is usually due to bronchoconstriction caused by decrease in temperature . Another reason of such symptoms may be due to , dust , pollen , hay , smoking, , sprays , mite allergy . Allergy causes bronchoconstriction and this causes cough . Usually patient develop tears from eyes , running nose , whistling sound in chest ( as flutter in your case) . AVOIDANCE to these predisposing cause is important . When such patient visit my clinic I usually prescribe them to take Monteleukast+ bambuterol once or twice in day . Also to take chlorampheniramine maleate+ dextromethorphan syrup w twice in day . As these are prescription drugs so please consult a physician and get his opinion. Hot coffee also helps. Good luck.
