metformin may be used as oral hypoglycaemic agent or as treatment of p c o s
duphaston probably being used to postpone periods or may be to regularise the cycle
in normal patients metformin does not cause hypoglycaemia both the drugs should be used as advised by doctor
Hello srividhya;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The tablets you are taking are -
Duphaston -it is used for habitual and threatened abortion cases;endometrosis;and in infertility due to inadequate leutal phase.Few side effect include;weight gain;stomach and intestinal upset;increased appetite;allergy
Metformin -it is a antidiabetic drug and it is also used in cases of poly cystic ovary disease that is the reason you may be on these medicines.Few side effects are nausea;vomiting;loss of appetite;diarrhoea;confusion;rash;sweating;dizziness.etc
Like all drugs even these two have few side effects but it will not be a problem as it is needed for your treatment and in case of any problem you need to consult your doctor.
Thanks
