Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my doc has prescribed me to take Gynaset tab for 10 days from 15th day after my periods so that i can get conceive this month as i have been trying to get pregnant since 2 yrs. I had recently undergone laproscopy also but there is nothing major happened. Can you please let me know why she has given Gynaset as it is like a progesterone only? Please advise!
thanks for posting your query in HCM, gynaset is given for supplementing progesterone in later half of your cycle. infertility occcurs due to luteal phase defect.
The luteal phase is usually about 12 to14 days long. During this time, your ovaries produce a hormone called progesterone. This hormone tells the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium, to grow.
If you become pregnant, the developing baby attaches to this thickened lining. If you do not become pregnant, the lining eventually sheds, and you have a period.
so gynaset is given to you, that will help you to get pregnant
thank you
