What Is The White Patches Visible On The Black Portion Of The Eye?
my mother's eye was damaged at the age of 7 years now she is about 55. she is able to see through one her one eye but gradually her visibility about 5 percentage. a white patches is visible on her black portion of the eye.is it possible that her visibility will return.
If the white patches have been noticed only recently then it could be due to cataract formation. This can be operated and has good visual recovery. However presence of white patch on the black portion since childhood could mean that it is a corneal opacity. This can be treated surgically by corneal transplantation. Kindly discuss these with your ophthalmologist.
