What Is This Internal Bump In My Butt Crack?

I have an internal bum in my butt crack or near not sure at first I thought it was in my butt crack but I think it's just besides the butt crack line. It's really painfully to sit down on the bump I hadn't notice this bump until yesterday I just thought that it was normal form me to have it. On the outside you can't see anything but I can feel its a hard bump really painful.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of Bacterial infection (furuncle). Bacterial infections are common in this area since a lot of natural bacterial flora is present in this area

I advice my patients to take an oral antibiotic(penicillin group) for a wee.

A topical antibacterial ointment like 2% mupirocin will help in addition to oral antibiotics.

An OTC pain killer like ibuprofen can be taken once or twice daily as needed.

take care

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the internal bump in your butt crack.

It appears form your query that you have infection and inflammation at the affected region. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

If it is increasing despite the treatment then meet a dermatologist or any family physician and get a proper treatment without delay for the oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection.

Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments, take two times bath and stay away form hot and humid climate.

Take care.
