Hello,

I can understand your concern. From the description of your problem, it seems like you have hematoma in the region where you were hurt. It takes time for body to heal hematoma so you might have to wait for about 2 weeks for it to decrease and disappear.

In addition, as you are having swelling and discolored eye, I would advise you to get one consultation from oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the physical examination of the injury and an x-ray so that any bone injury can be ruled out.

You can apply ice over the swollen area which will help in reducing swelling and can take Ibuprofen 400 mg (Brufen) up to thrice a day for relief in pain.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
