What Is Time Period For Recovery After Injuring Eardrum With Q-tip?

I was cleaning my ear with a Q-Tip and I think I hit my eardrum. I had a very short stinging feeling, and a partial loss of hearing in that ear. I would say that I can only hear at about 30% right now out of that ear. From everything I have read online, it seems it should heal itself.....just wondering what the timetable should be for recovery.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have injury to your tympanic membrane which affact your sensory system and it leads to hearing loss. You should go for otoscopy once. Most of the time minor injuries healed by itself. Still you need examination once. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
