What Is Your Opinion About Getting Dizziness, Middle Ear Congestion Everytime I Catch A Cold And Medication Does Not Help?
hi, every time i catch a cold i end up with dizziness (like vertigo) for two weeks. Meclizine, valium has not addressed my dizziness. it was recently suggested to me , by a paharmacist, to use sudafed to address the middle ear congestion. your thoughts?
As per your query you experience dizziness every time you get cold . Well there can be many reason for dizziness like infection of internal ear , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma and other condition like high BP . In your case it seems to me that the infection is spreading from upper respiratory track to ear through eustachian tube . This occur when infection is severe or left untreated . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may conduct certain test like throat swab test , viral culture test , rotatory chair test and prong test . Doctor will also examine ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) , anti inflammatory and decongestant . For now do warm saline gargles , drink green teat twice a day and avoid bending forward .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
