What Is Your Opinion About Massive Reduction In Ejaculation Since Taking Champix?

I have noticed a massive reduction in ejeculate since taking champix,I have also seen a study that found a infertility in rats in the second generation.Presumably these tests are done to see the effects in humans. In the past many drugs have been waived as good for human consumption then later had to be removed.I am very concerned about this as I have not had children yet.Do you know of any information on this matter?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

My opinion is that you should stop taking champix if you are able to control your smoking habit. Chamix is suitable for chronic smokers with withdrawal symptoms. Infertility is not too common to be worried with champix.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pramod Kokare, General & Family Physician
