What Kind Of Damage Would Have Happened When On Antibiotics For Not Being Treated For Lyme Disease?

My nephew who is almost 3 years old has just been confirmed that he has lymes disease. He will be on a strong antibiotic for 28 days. This has went on for the past 6 weeks of the doctors not confirming it. What kind of damage could have happened during these weeks of not being treated? Thank you!
