What Leads To Ankle Swelling With History Of Having Tendon Tear In Right Ankle?

I torn the tendon in my right ankle, over 14 years ago, in 2004 the doctor I was seeing said I need surgery. But I did not get the surgery. and I m still have problems with this ankle.. It swells and I am always in pain. I work a job where there is a lot of standing. what do I do?

Thank you for sharing your query on Healthcaremagic, I have carefully worked through your case and I recommend you to take some anti-inflammatory an pain killers 3 times/day OTC and apply some topic anti-inflammatory cream in your ankle per 7-10 days, and vitamins supplements ( B ) as your job is longstanding I advice to wear a comfortable shoes with a silicone support otherwise an ankle brace could be very helpful if the symptoms persist go to the doctor probably you got a ligament injury.
