What Leads To Blood Clots In Scrotum Leading To Discoloration And Tightness?
Sir i am 20 years of age and having my scrotum very tight. whole scrotal skin has blackend due to blood clotted in skin and penis root. and also on the ventral side of penis just behind glans, there are small bristils looking like blood vessels are growing out of skin and pouring blood out, some times it bleeds. So please suggest something because its more than serious. I suppose these problems could have been due to:1, some hormonal problem constricting blood vessels supplying blood to scroutum
Hello and welcome to HCM, Blackened skin over scrotum and root of penis can be due to hematoma formation caused by injury to soft tissues. Is there any history to trauma to the pelvic structures in recent past: Injury to the soft tissues can cause bleeding in soft tissues and thus blackening of the skin. In addition, blackening can be due to some other vascular abnormality. Clinical assessment should be done at the earliest since vascular problems can be serious leading to cut off of blood supply to vital structures like testis. Thus, consult your doctor for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like Doppler ultrasound of the genital organs.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
