Suddenly my right leg vein on the outside, of my leg became painfull there was no trama to the leg at all, The vein bulged and was very blue and swollen. Today it is still swollen looks like a big bruise running up the vein. Had this happen once before what do you think it could be?
It sounds like thrombophlebitis or inflammation of a superficial vein. Have you had obvious visible veins called varicose veins earlier in that leg? You can try compressio therapy with Class II Compression stockings and local application of Thrombophob or Heparin ointment. Also get a Color Doppler of Venous system of the affected limb to rule out any other cause for the same. Take care.
