What Leads To Darkening Of Skin Complexion?

Dear doctor,Please note am 36 yrs old,5.8 feet height,76 kilo weight person and now my skin complexion has become darker comparing to earlier days.i was really white till 32-33 yrs and now became a little dark even though am not complete black.my job is not allowing me for sun exposure and probably will be out 30 min or 01 or 02 days in day light as per my routine.i used to have hyper pigmentation in my college days and have used melalite & flutivate daily morng & evening respectively as per doctor advise.that time i became again white and discontinued after entering job.up to 33 -34 yrs thr was no problems but now my skin becomes fading.i am physically fit,do exercise regularly, try fruits & vegetables,no smoking or drinking but still colour became fading for the last 01 year onwards.Recently consulted one doctor and he prescribed melaglow cream & cuvia aquagel sun screen lotion but there was no use or betterment in skin.so kindly advise how i can retain my old skin complexion or need to try any medicines or old creams once again.thanks,Suraj

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain hyperpigmentation can occur due to a number of causes like excessive sun exposure leading to sun tanning, hormonal imbalances, exposure to chemical fumes and heat, malnutrition etc..
It can also be due to excess use of steroid based creams that you have already used in the past like Melalite and Flutivate..
The medications advised to you that is melaglow is suitable for use and along with it you can also use glycolic acid containing creams and azelic acid preparations..
Vitamin E and C containing creams can help..
You can also take Vitamin C supplements.
You can wash your face with Salicylic acid and glycolic acid containing facewash..
Exfoliate your skin twice a week..
You can also go for treatments like Photofacial, microdermabrasion and chemical peeling.

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
