What Leads To Excess Rise In Heart Rate During Exercise?
I am 170 lbs. I am 37 y.o. I did some cardio today for 30mins. I got scared bec my heart rate went up to 169 bpm. Is that okay? After an hour of exercising my heart rate is still at 105 bpm. I don t know if it is caused by my anxiety over my high heart rate or my heart just took longer to go back to normal? I think I need to relax.
Hello, whenever we start any exercise it should always be gradual to increase in intensity. You should always start with low intensity and for small duration and as your body gets adjusted to the exercise and starts tolerating it then only you should increase the intensity. Heart rate going above 150 until 200 beats per minute is a sign that you are doing exercise which is causing heart to work more and is a good indicator that you are doing good cardio exercise. But as you said heart rate is 105 even after 1 hour of exercise is quite high for baseline pulse rate. I would suggest getting your baseline heart rate checked, consult your doctor what kind of cardio exercises you can indulge into and then go slow and steady with the intensity. I hope I have answered your query. Thank you
