General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Faint positive pregnancy test (done after 8 days delay in date of pregnancy) indicates no pregnancy. This can happen due to delay in periods due to stress, I'll health, menstrual irregularity due to hormonal problems. You have get your test done after 8 days of delay in menses to find exact result. In case it's negative, get examined and investigated by a gynecologist to find the cause and get specifically treated to start your periods.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
