What Leads To Fainting, heart Palpitations And Chest Pain Post Work Out?
Hi doctor I made a really weird mistake I worked out with the sweat belt on my breast and after work out I fainted . After I was treated with iv in the hospital for my low blood pressure / sugar I ve been having palpitations of the heart and also chest pain . Could you please tell me what s going on ? Is this seriouse condition .
Chest pain and palpitations post exercise is seen in conditions like angina, myocardial infarction or heart attack, extremely low blood pressure, lowered glucose level, and heart failure. Mostly it is related to heart. To those who come to my clinic with similar complaints, I would recommend an ECG, 2D echo and if necessary angiography, fasting and postprandial blood sugar and hemoglobin. Based on the results of the above tests, we can plan the treatment. Kindly consult a cardiologist for further evaluation as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
