What Leads To Inner Thigh Cramps During Dialysis?

Hi Doctor, my husband is on diaylisis 3x a week he had been coming home and would start having cramps in his inner thigh, well he mentioned it to his dr. Dr told him to stop taking his blood pressure medicine on the day of his treatment, my husband stop complaining for about 3weeks. Today he came home and he s having severe cramps I have been using a homeopathic remedy made by the Amish people that seems to help before,but he s still complaining of the cramps periodically when he has certain movements. Please Dr. What can be causing this and is there a home remedy for this? Mrs.Clark

Hi,

Various factors, including muscle or spasms, electrolyte imbalances, dehydration, or nerve damage, may cause inner thigh cramps during dialysis. Additionally, the patient's position during dialysis, such as sitting for an extended period, may also contribute to cramping in the inner thigh area. I would recommend talking to the treating doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
