25 year old with swollen lymph node behind ear... increasing very slightly in size. Has multiple ear piercings and has had extreme allergy to metal but no obvious irritation presently... had to remove first piercing 4 times because of allergic reaction. Could it be cancer? No other symptoms
Lymph node enlargement is a nob specific symptom and post Auricular lymphadenopathy is quiet likely due to infection. But it has to be clinical evaluated to even reach a differential diagnosis. A course of antibiotics with Cap.doxycycline 100mg twice a day for 5 days and opinion with a ENT surgeon is required.
