Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hy. ..... last 2month I went 2 d hospital the doctor said my prolactin level is 91 and the doctor gave me bromergon and I took it for one month and I went to the hospital yesterday the doctor said my prolactin level is now 41.......Please just want to know if am now okay and am 19 years old and I also have irregular period
After going through your query I understand your concern.
I would like to tell you that normal range of prolactine in non-pregnant females is 2 to 29 ng/mL and your report was suggestive of high prolactine hormone present in the body hence causing irregular periods. Bromergone ( Bromocriptine is an anti-hyperprolcatinemic drug to decrease the prolactine levels in the body.
Kindly consult with your physician for further evaluation of pituitary tumors.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards Dr. Navneet Bansal
