What Makes My Mother Complain For Food Tasting Different?
My mother in law was recently diagnosed with COPD. She has been on Symbicort (twice per day) and Spiriva once per day. She is complaining that all the food she eats tastes different. She says even her lips feel different. Could one of the meds she takes have a side effect that makes food taste different?

hello thanks for consulting at hcm..yes it could be side effects of either of the 2 drugs, so ask her to clean her tongue with soft brush, ask her physician if he could change these for alternate drugs which does not cause taste dysfunction, also could give her zinc supplements,,hope it helps,,tc
