What Makes My Son's Tummy Rumble?

My 1 yr old son's tummy keeps rumbling. He had high fever and diarhoea, and was throwing all food/drink he had yesterday. He is better today and had some milk last night before sleeping and today two times. But tummy still rumbles. Any reason why?

Hello,
A noisy rumbling tummy only means that the intestinal motility has speeded up. Intestinal transit time of food is shortened due to rapid peristalsis during an intestinal infection and hence there is diarrhoea. Once his loose stool subsides, the rumbling will stop.
