What Makes The Piercing To Close Post Earring Removal?

Hi, I recently bought a pair of earring which were seen to be decent and I have worse earring in a while, I put them in and it was fine however when it took them out my earring hole started pudding then the day after it started scanning over and the earring hole started slowly closing. What is this and how do I treat it

Hi.
As per your case history you are infection at ear piercing site.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
