What Medication Is Suggested For A Thickened Endometrium Of 1.3cm?

Findings: The uterus is anteverted. The endometrium is thickened to approximately 1.3 cm with slight increased vascularity on Doppler interrogation. There are a few tiny cystic regions within the endometrium. Within the right adnexa, there is an oblong anechoic cystic structure measuring approximately 2.2 x 5.5 cm. The right ovary is not confidently seen. Left ovary contains an approximately 2 cm simple - appearing cyst. I had a pelvic ultrasound and the impression was: 1. Thickened endometrium to approximately 1.3 cm. Although the patient is on hormone replacement therapy, the degree of endometrial thickening is lsightly more than expected. Given the history of PV bleeding, endometrial sampling is recommended. 2.Oblong anechoic cystic structure in the right adnexa measuring up to 5.5 cm. Etiology is not entirely certain by possibilities include hydrsalpinx versus a paraovarian cyst. They recommend a further assessment with pelvic MRI. 3. Approximately 2 cm simple - appearing cyst int he left ovary. This could also be assesd at time of pelvic MRI. A follow-up sonogram in one year is also recommended. Thank you for your input. Marilyn
