is Benadryl cr is good for productive cough?.It s for my mom.she is diabetic and she don't have any other complaint other than cough.its almost there for 5 days.she already taken bronchorex irregularly.but it was not sugar free.i told her to stop that,take Benadryl cr sugar free..is that okay?or she should have some other syrup?she is 56 year old

Using benadryl or any cough syrup dependds on the cause of cough. If it is a dry cough , she may get benefitted by just Anti histaminics like levocetrizine.
However , the cough syrup also contains anti histaminics , and in your mother's case should be sugar free.
